Internal Model Support Actuary

ACCOUNTABILITIES

As directed by the Head of Internal Model show understanding of all movements in and drivers of the Pillar 1 and Pillar 2 balance sheet and review for consistency with expectation

As directed by the Head of Internal Model provide Internal Model team support for the prioritisation and production of methodology/modelling requirements for future MG-ALFA releases to help ensure that all key Solvency 2 objectives are delivered within agreed regulatory and business timescales

To support the Head of Internal Model to ensure that S2 methodology is clearly documented and to act as a liaison with the Finance teams to ensure that the documentation is understood and followed

To support the Head of Internal Model in reviewing and actively challenging the S2 results for consistency with the agreed methodology, including a review of the adequacy and reliability of the technical provisions

To support the development of S2 management actions and the production of regular S2 Pillar 1 Balance Sheet estimates for the group companies

Provide input into the design and oversight of the S2 Pillar 1 Balance Sheet production for year end 2013 and 2014

Act as a key contact point for the risk function and Auditors on the Internal Model

Support the Actuarial facilitator of the weakness and limitations, expert judgement and change logs

As directed by the Head of Internal Model ensure that line 1 (Actuarial) validation requirements are met

As directed by the Head of Internal Model, monitor relevant emerging S2 regulations and developments within the industry and to draft reports to the business on the implications of developments as they emerge.

Support the communication and education of the business, and appropriate governance committees on reserving and capital requirements

Support interaction with the PRA over S2 implementation

Support the requirements of the Head of Internal Model as necessary
