Internal Finance Auditor

Internal Financial Auditor - 3 month contract - Bristol Based - Negotiable Rate

This is a high-profile, cross-functional team in the Financial Management team in Finance.
The Internal Audit, Risk and Controls team is responsible for identifying risks, designing and maintaining effective financial internal control frameworks and carrying out internal audits.

Key Responsibilities Include:-
-Deliver high quality internal audits quickly
-Support the design of the audit scope to identify and evaluate the main risks and controls
-Plan the audit to cover the scope, optimise business involvement, and meet agreed time scales
-Carry out the audit to agreed professional and departmental standards
-Discuss findings and issues with management
-Report your key issues effectively
-Report to management your findings, issues and recommendations for improvement
-Ensure your recommendations are implemented

Key Challenges:-
-Quickly establishing credible relationships across the organisation to ensure that you are seen as trusted advisor
-Understanding a complex and changing environment; getting to grips with the strategy, technology and markets
-Influencing key stakeholders including shareholder representatives, external audit and the business owners
-Maintaining effective controls at a time of significant change

Essential Experience Required:-
-Internal and/or External Audit experience.
-Qualified/Student Professional audit/accountancy accreditation ACA, ACCA, CISA, CIMA, IIA or equivalent
-Good understanding of IT systems
-Proven and extensive experience in a complex business environment
