JOB CONTENT
- Plans, develops, and implements strategic communication for longer-term projects. Requires work prioritization, scheduling, and coordinating resources.
- Develops integrated communications plans including objectives, targeted audiences, key messages, and implementation plan, coordinating with other functions, teams and agencies as needed.
- Owns projects such as newsletters, databases, and distribution lists and produces elements of a department-wide communication program.
JOB SCOPE
- Work is evaluated upon completion to ensure objectives have been met. Determines and develops approach to solutions.
- Exercises judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Receives little instruction on day-to-day work and general instructions on new assignments.
- Interact with senior executives.
- Network with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
- Frequent inter-organizational and outside contacts.
- Represents the organization on projects.

KNOWLEDGE OR EXPERTISE
- An experienced writer with a full understanding of area of specialization; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways.
- An energetic, strategic and creative individual with outstanding writing/editing/positioning skills
- Ability to exert leadership and influence manage at all levels of the organization
- Able to work in a variety of media; meet tight deadlines; Manage multiple projects simultaneously; Thrive in a collaborative team-based environment, yet able to work independently; Create/implement strategic communication plans; and Prioritize projects
- Must possess excellent interpersonal, presentation and problem-solving skills
- Must take initiative and demonstrate strong follow-up/follow-through skills; Have high integrity and accountability; and work effectively with global teams across diverse cultures and geographies.
- A 4-year bachelor degree in journalism, English or communications from an accredited college or university.
- A minimum of 6 years of corporate communications experience.
