Internal Communications Manager

Public sector client based in Bristol seeks an experienced Internal Communications Manager to sits within the Corporate Communications team working alongside external communications and project communications. The Corporate Communications team are responsible for managing corporate reputation and its image for delivering positive change.

You will lead on establishing, maintaining and continually improving a joined up, proactive and effective corporate internal communications process. Due to the urgency, nature and length of the assignment, the successful candidate should have current security clearance to Disclosure Scotland Certificate/Baseline Personnel Security Standard level or above.

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- Experience of working in a communications role and dealing with change. Have worked in any of the following fields:
- Communications, Customer Liaison, Copywriting, Marketing, Campaign Management, Direct Marketing, Journalism, Press
- Experience of managing communications delivery across a variety of communications channels and tools
- Liaison with 'subject matter experts' whose background is not in Communications or Copywriting
- Management of stakeholders at a range of levels including Directors, Senior Managers, Managers, Executive Officers and Administrators
- Experience of writing/copywriting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office IT, particularly word, PowerPoint and excel
- Good communications and interpersonal and team working skills
- Good planning and organising skills

DESIRABLE

- Experience of Internal Communications Management and delivering sensitive or complex messages across a range of internal communications channels
- Experience in developing approval processes with a wide range of stakeholders in a fast moving environment
- Education to OND or HND level or equivalent in a communications or journalistic qualification

EXTRA INFORMATION:

This is initially a 3 months contract with an option for further extension. Rate is £155 per day
