Internal Communications Consultant

Capita's key utilities client is currently recruiting for an Internal Communications Consultant for a 9-12 month contract to be based in both Crawley and London.

The selected candidate will be required to sit within the corporate area of the business and will have demonstrable experience in Internal Communications and will be delivering to upwards of 800 staff. This role will be responsible for the provision of high quality, professional advice and guidance on a wide range of communication issues to the management teams within the functions they support and in conjunction with the HR Business Partner, likely to be in finance and strategy.

You will be required to regularly review the effectiveness of communications (channel and content) and in order to ensure that content is of the highest quality and that channel usage is optimised, making the best communications of what there is to be delivered, coupled with maintaining functional Intranet sites ensuring their use as an effective communications tool, as well as the support of the delivery of functional internal communications events across Company Shared Services and Corporate and Steering functions.

Qualifications and Experience

- Demonstrable experience in supporting the delivery of successful internal communications activities and events.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Understanding of communications issues and their impact on employee engagement.
- An understanding of communications channels and their operations.
- Analytical and thinking skills, combined with the ability to communicate effectively in writing and in person.
- Ability to influence staff and leaders on communications issues.
