Internal Communications Advisor

We have a fantastic opportunity for a commercially astute Communications Advisor to join our team. With proven experience in supporting the delivery of successful internal communications activities and events, you will be accountable for the development and delivery of the communications plans and mechanisms for theWest Burtonand Cottam Power Stations.

About the role

Based from the West Burton Power Station, you will report directly to the Communications Consultant and be responsible for the provision of high quality, professional advice and guidance on a wide range of communication issues to the management teams within the Energy Sourcing and Customer Supply (ESCS) function. You will also regularly review the effectiveness of communications (channel and content) and in order to ensure that content is of the highest quality and that channel usage is optimised, as well as maintaining and developing functional intranet sites ensuring their use as an effective communications tool. In addition to this you will contribute to plans for company wide communications on initiatives from the ESCS function which impact employees elsewhere in Company.

About You

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in supporting the delivery of successful internal communications activities and events and an understanding of communications issues and their impact on employee engagement. You must also be analytical and commercially driven as well as having strong verbal and written communication skills. You will also have experience in managing stakeholders and working as a wider team to meet both team and company wide objectives.
