Internal Audit Director

A leading financial institution requires an experienced Internal Audit Director to contribute to the design of an effective audit strategy and to provide quality and efficient assurance to business areas, as well as, to influence business executives and directors to improve control.

This is a senior leadership role, reporting directly to Head of Internal Audit, Retail and Commercial, therefore the ideal candidate must have Internal Audit experience within retail banking.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

- Must have experience of managing a portfolio of internal audits
- Must have experience of delivering audits in retail banking
- Must have a good understanding of all aspects of Retail Banking
- Must have a proven track record of Project management capabilities
- Must possess exceptional stakeholder management and people management skills
- Must have knowledge of all the regulatory requirements relating to the business areas and Audit function

MAIN DUTIES:

- To define and maintain the audit universe capable of informing and supporting the annual plan
- To ensure effective delivery of the audit plan
- To deliver periodic Opinions to divisions and entities as required
- To recruit and manage the performance of the extended team, driving their career development
- To be responsible for ensuring that all engagements comply with global methodology
- To act and be seen as the Group Internal Audit key representative for Senior Stakeholders
