Our West Midlands Local Authority Client is urgently looking for an Interim Service Development Manager for three months whose primary focus will be to develop, in collaboration with others, some key pieces of staff guidance / protocol/ quality assurance. Example areas are likely to be:

* To develop and roll-out a risk assessment / enablement model, tool(s) and associated staff guidance, to provide coherence of practice across the County
* To further develop guidance associated with making residential / nursing home care placements (there is a draft, but it will need some updates fairly soon)
* To support the requirement for new guidance associated with reviews / reviewing of packages of support (including direct payments etc).
* Staff guidance to clarify the arrangements associated with arranging customer charging for some areas where local policy makes this possible, but it has not yet been implemented.

To be considered for this role the ideal candidate will be a qualified social worker who has experience of working within local authority background.
