Interim Senior System Engineer (f/m)

We, Robert Half Technology, are looking for a Senior System Engineer for our client in Munich.

Responsibilities:

- The Senior System Engineer will act as the leading counterpart for hosting & data center activities in the EU Central Region.
- He/she will assist designing and developing hosting & data center standards, support installed base & migrations, and work with the regional teams & the Global Hosting Team.
- He/she is a good communicator and listener and will work together with the business, IT and Management.

Requirements:

- A minimum of 5 years functional experience of system engineering with focus on hosting or Data Center services
- Very good process design experience augmented by knowledge of relevant IT standards (e.g. ITIL)
- Strong experience of defining and writing clear specifications, documentation and metrics
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to Business Groups, IT and Management using where appropriate presentation tools such as PowerPoint
- Creative skills to find solutions to difficult business problems and pragmatism ensuring that the solutions are readily achievable within the IT landscape
- Clear knowledge and understanding of Virtual Environments and Storage (VMware, vSphere, DataCore, SAN, etc.) is advantageous
- A VMware certification or comparable is rated a plus factor
