Interim Senior Policy Advisor

Our Public Sector client is seeking an experienced Interim Senior Policy Advisor to work with a team developing and implementing a new Government scheme for electricity

The role will involve:

- Developing the auditing, compliance and monitoring mechanisms to ensure the scheme can be shown to be lawful and to ensure value for money.
- Develop policy in relation to potential exceptional cases for the scheme
- Analyse and evaluate the pros and cons of the scheme and identify risks, to make decisions that take accounts of the wider context
- Identify the main issues in complex problems and clarify understanding and stakeholder expectations
- Ensure costs of delivering the schemes are not excessive and do not represent a disproportionate proportion of the benefit to the customer.

To be considered for this opportunity you must:

- Have experience of market-based delivery mechanisms and an understanding of energy issues
- Have s proven track record of engaging with stakeholders at all levels within Public Sector
- Have evidence of analysing data from various sources in order to make decisions
- Evidence of reviewing, challenging and adjusting performance levels to ensure quality outcomes are delivered on time
- Strong evidence of developing policy within the energy sector is highly desirable
