Interim Project Manager - Social Care

Our Local Authority client based in East Anglia is looking for an experienced Project Manager to work within their Adult Social Care department.

The successful candidate will be required to manage complex projects of work, ensuring project risks and opportunities are identified, stakeholders managed, external contractors engaged and managed, and most critically - financial and non-financial benefits delivered. You must have the flexibility to adapt to changing demands, and the strategic and systematic overview of how their project fits with the organisations wider transformation agenda. The post holder will speak the language of Social care with an in-depth understanding of Safeguarding, Quality Assurance and improving the Customer Journey.

As a Project Manager for Transformation this role will contribute to the leadership and management of the function and to the wider organisation. Reporting to the Portfolio Managers you will be responsible for delivering number of projects that contribute to a £200m savings target.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

* Relevant professional Project Management qualification.
* A track record of successfully completed several projects and experienced contributing to a range of other projects and/or programmes.
* Experience of successfully delivering complex transformational projects in an Adult Social Care setting of similar scale and complexity, focused on both cost reduction and improvements to customer satisfaction.
* Significant Senior Management experience of working in a large complex public sector organisation at a competent level.
