Our Public Sector client is seeking an experienced Interim Project manager to establish project and programme plans, provide secretariat for programme board and be responsible for the internal start up phase programme and hand over to an internal project manager after a few months. Deadline for this role is Tuesday 25th February.

The role will involve:

- Organising project and programme plans, leading the planning and implementation of the project
- Defining project tasks and resource requirements
- Providing secretariat for programme board
- Supporting projects such as organizational design
- Preparing assurance and risk management arrangements and ensure they are followed
- Line management responsibility for a Programme Support Assistant.

To be considered for this opportunity you must:

- Have knowledge of theoretical and practical aspects of project management
- Experience of working within public sector, ideally central government and rail industry
- Have knowledge of project management techniques and tools (e.g MS Project)
- Previous experience of successfully managing a large and complex project with many stakeholders
- Proven track record in governance and assurance
- Be PRINCE2 qualified or equivalent
