Projektbeschreibung

Finance Manager with experience in the construction or civil engineering sectors required for major UK plc client. Must be used to working in a 'high volume' environment.

KEY RESULT AREAS

- Monitor and control project financial transactions and records (within stand alone ledgers), including periodic reconciliations
- Maintain project, including overhead, financial records
- Undertaking reviews of all ledgers on a monthly cycle
- Preparing accounts to reflect performance in line with project and Company accounting policies
- Input of data to management systems
- Preparation of monthly management accounts, OpStat and cost summaries, and cash forecasts
- Preparation of annual and half year fiscal accounts and supporting information
- Analysis and reporting of key business financial information (KPI's)
- Analysis of performance and data, including key business drivers
- Close liaison with commercial function
- Identification, communication and prompt resolution of issues, as appropriate
- Responsibility for maintaining records and reporting of regulatory compliance matters, CIS, VAT etc
- Supervision of projects accounts team
- Support and guidance to Project Director, Commercial Manager and other project related staff
- Preparation of quarterly forecasts and annual budget information and reports
- Liaison and collaboration with auditors, in particular, prompt resolution of any audit points arising.
- Setting down and maintaining appropriate financial procedures and processes
- Liaison with client to develop good relationships to enhance prospects of winning future opportunities under the Managed Motorways framework contrac
-Ad hoc reporting and analysis

SKILLS + EXPERIENCE

- Financially qualified by education or experience to CIMA, ACCA level
- Several years management accounts experience, to advanced level in contract accounting
- Proven track record of problem identification and timely resolution
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite of products
- Advanced level ability in use of contract ledger based accounting system, Oracle equivalent
- Intermediate level in application of VAT rules
- Intermediate level in application of CIS rules
- Commercial technical knowledge
- Industry knowledge
- Some personal and corporate tax skills
- Analytical and report writing skills

The team consists of 14 so we will also be looking for an individual who can support with supervisory duties as it is an Interim Finance Manager we are looking for so they should this within their background. The works carried out will be Low level, High Volume.

Must have a full Finance qualification CIMA/ACCA/ACA - Preference would be CIMA
Must have 2-5 years post qualification experience
Experience working in Civil Engineering/Construction
Must be used to working with a very high volume of queries
