Robert Half Management Resources are recruiting for an Interim Procurement Manager for a public sector client based in Gloucestershire.

THE ROLE

The Department is dedicated to the provision of professional services to support the organisation in planning and managing its resources, in a controlled and sustainable manner. This post has responsibility for the Organisations procurement, contract management and insurance activities.

Purchasing in the organisation is largely devolved to individual departments and budget holders. There is a central procurement service, comprising the Procurement Manager and an assistant, who advise on procurement processes and systems, tendering and contract management. The Procurement service works closely with IT and Purchase Ledger colleagues on the Procurement to Pay process.

- Contribute towards the strategic development of the Financecontract management; and negotiation strategies.
- Apply knowledge and understanding of systems, to deliver efficient and effective processes for the procurement of goods and services.
- Deputise for the Director as required

YOUR PROFILE

- CIPS qualification
- Extensive experience of contract award
- Public or regulated sector procurement experience
- Contract management
- Supplier management
- An established project manager
- Working knowledge of EU procurement regulations
- Successful negotiation across a range of commodities
- Knowledgeable and competent in analysing data
- Commercial Judgement
- Collaborative working
- Previously experience of working for an Educational establishment advantageous

SALARY & BENEFITS

Interim Procurement Manager role based in Gloucestershire. To start w/c 26th January 2015, initial 3 month initial contract, pay rate £300-£325 per day (via Ltd Company).
