Our Public Sector client is seeking an experienced Interim Head of Portfolio Office for a period of 4-6 months.

You will be responsible for working with teams across the organisation to improve their projects, programme and portfolio capability.

The role will involve:

- Providing advice to senior management, Programme Directors and other project professionals
- Support the allocation of resources to projects and programmes
- Oversee effective systems for performance reporting, risk management and benefits realisation
- Develop and embed PPM frameworks, ensuring it is streamlined and responsive
- Build and maintain relationships with cross- governmental stakeholders
- Ensure coherence of the portfolio, providing the Board with analyses to support portfolio prioritisation

To be considered for this opportunity you must:

- Have a strong knowledge of portfolio, programme and project management tools and techniques
- Have evidence of analysing and prioritising a portfolio of projects and programmes within the Public Sector
- Have evidence of establishing quality assurance of project management processes
- Be Prince 2, MSP of MoR qualified or equivalent
- Evidence of being able to predict the long term impact of national and international developments on programme and projects
- Evidence of exceptional leadership skills
- Evidence of putting plans in place to monitor and manage delivery against service level agreements.
