Interim Head of HR (Manufacturing)

I am working on an exciting opportunity to join my client through a period of growth and change. As the Head of HR you will work both strategically and operationally and will report into the Managing Director with responsibility for generalist HR as well as talent, workforce planning, T&A, payroll and L&D.
The client has ambitious growth plans and has already doubled in size over the last year. You will have a UK only remit and be responsible for a unionised workforce of just over 300.
It is important that you consultant and work strategically with the client in order to achieve their people and business plans, but equally as important to work "hands on" and operationally. You will also be leading a small HR team as well as training, payroll, HRIS and Health & Safety.
To be considered for this assignment it is essential that you have proven experience at Head of HR level, have managed teams, can work at a strategic and operational level and have worked within manufacturing/blue collar industries
It would be highly desirable if you have previous experience in overseeing payroll/HRIS and health and safety

This is a 6 month contract starting on Monday 17th August 2015
