THE CLIENT

Our client, a leading group of Churches, are looking to appoint a part time (3 days a week) interim Head of Finance for a six month period. This position is the most senior finance role in the organisation reporting to the Operations Lead.

THE INTERIM ASSIGNMENT

This role will be to provide accurate, timely and meaningful financial and management reporting to department budget holders, Board of Trustees and the senior leadership so that effective decisions can be taken to shape the organisations strategic direction. Applicants will be expected to review the management accounting system and update/change as necessary, complete a full review of the finance systems, put in place a new revised financial control system and assist in the recruitment of the substantive post.

THE INTERIM MANAGER

Applicants must have experience of working in a 3rd sector environment where they are used to dealing with a wide range of interesting stakeholders. The successful applicant will have experience of reviewing a finance department and utilising change management to bring the finance department to a good standard working smartly and effective in line with finance regulations and good practice. The role will also require the management and supervision of a small finance team so previous line management is essential.
