Interim Head of Finance

Contract: Immediate start - Initial 3 month contract - Longer term permanent opportunity possible.

Daily Rate: £500 to £550 per day depending on experience.

The company provides loans nationwide, with a customer base across the whole of the UK. With its smart and efficient online model, the company is able to increase its accessibility and offer its customers a discreet and flexible service, allowing them to take out a loan from the comfort of their own home. The Head offices are located in Central London and post a recent round of investment, the company has opened up offices in the US, and is looking forward to further expansion.

Reporting into the CFO, the Interim Head of Finance will manage the UK finance team covering Financial Control and all Accounting. He or she will have oversight of the monthly management accounts preparation, and play a leading role in the monthly board reporting, along with any required financial modelling, budget preparation and monitoring. As well as managing tax affairs, returns and VAT , the Interim Head of Finance may be asked to be involved in the annual audit. Importantly, the successful candidate will manage Treasury and the liquidity in multiple loan books across the US and the UK, managing up to 4 loan books in the UK. Being generally systems and process literate, the Head of Finance will provide reporting and compliance on covenants, credit control and loan book oversight. In addition, he / she will manage legal affairs including company secretarial tasks, set against UK compliance and licensing (OFT and CCTA). The Head of Finance will also oversee a number of HR tasks and add value to the process of keeping investors informed with appropriate documentation and investor reporting.

This role may suit candidates who have previously held Head of Finance, Group Financial Controller (FC) or first time Finance Director (FD) roles on an interim or permanent basis. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with the following attributes:

Bright and commercially oriented Finance Professional.

Strong in character and able to challenge the numbers.

'Hands on', and a 'rock solid' accountant with a high attention to detail.

Relevant Financial Services industry knowledge relating to the complexities and nuances surrounding our client's business models. Lending and / or loan book management is essential.

Ideally, have small and large company experience; bringing both the knowledge of how to operate and behave in a growth company, and best financial practice.

Qualified to degree level. ACA or CIMA Finance qualifications.
