My Client is looking for an experienced Interim Finance Shared Services Operations Manager who is available for an immediate start in Chertsey Surrey

To manage the operations of the UK Finance Shared Services team

Manage a high quality, service driven team
Build effective relationships with clients and stakeholders and act as a point of escalation for clients
Deliver best practice processes and an environment of continuous improvement

Client Relationship Management
Build effective relationships with clients which support the SSC ethos of customer focus and service excellence
Hold regular client review meetings
Manage performance to agreed levels per SLAs
Act as point of escalation to resolve issues & complaints

Performance Management
Employ a metrics driven approach to managing activities, understand the key performance drivers and aim for excellence through continuous improvement
Report regularly to clients on performance metrics including Key Performance Indicators
Use metrics to ensure efficient resource utilisation and process optimisation

People Management
Deliver high levels of performance from the shared services team. Encourage effective team working and support strong individual performance through guidance and coaching.
Encourage a shared service culture of standardisation and efficiency
Hold regular team meetings and keep staff well informed
Set challenging goals and ensure team is focused on process improvement
Ensure team feel valued and their contribution is recognised

Process Leadership
Work collaboratively to achieve process excellence and strong compliance
Ensure processes are optimised and provide necessary controls
Ensure roles and responsibilities are clear throughout the end to end processes
Support resolution of process issues

Presentation skills - able to convey ideas concisely and persuasively
Project and change management - skilled in delivering successful change projects

Experience needed

Degree educated qualified accountant
Significant experience managing at a senior level in a shared services environment
Detailed practical knowledge of core financial processes (AP, AR, General Accounting)
People leadership and development including experience of managing a similar sized team
Good understanding and experience of KPI reporting
Change management around building a shared service culture
Extensive experience using SAP for AP, AR and GL
