Interim Finance Director

Client description

Green Park is proud to be partnering a historic local group of companies currently going through a demerger due to the sale of one of their large business operations.

The remaining group will be circa £5m revenue and will compromise of a number of SME operations that trade across multiple sectors. Although these businesses have existed as separate entities for some time, we are establishing a new, small, lean, group structure on top of them.

Assignment description

The corporate demerger across the business operations has arisen following the sale of a large business unit therefore we now need to establish the remaining operations as separate corporate entities under two new companies during the next few months and appoint a new senior management team to take both businesses forward.

Following this sale, we will require an Interim Finance Director to work in partnership with the Interim Project Manager handling the separation and demerger, covering the exit of the current Finance Director and assisting with the resourcing of the new Finance Director.

Yourself and the Interim Project Manager will work in consultation with 3 professional advisors (corporate finance, tax and legal) assisting the board to carefully consider the groups future corporate structure while being responsible for devising a detailed plan for delivering the demerger.

There are likely to be a range of other activities connected with the demerger and setting up the new company where the Finance Director will be asked to help out on a flexible basis.

Candidate description

You will need to haven proven experience Finance Director, used to dealing with Business Change, ideally within SME environments across multiple sectors however retail would be preferential.

You will need to be ACA or ACCA qualified with significant tenure in a top tier (Big 4 Services firm), ideally within M&A or Transaction Advisory before commencing your commerce career.

You will need to be immediately available and be able to commit to at least 4 months potentially longer however we will consider someone on a 4 day a week basis.
