Interim Facilities Management: Saudi Arabia

My client is a leading management consultancy in The Middle East. They have an urgent signed off role for a 6 month contract (renewable to 12 months) to be based in Makkah near Jeddah. The ideal person for this role will be Arabic speaking or Muslim and most ideally, both. The role seeks an expert in Facilities Management who can go into this water client and turn around their archaic FM organisation.

Key responsibilities for the Facility Management Specialist: Set up the Facility Management department including:

*Develop the Facility Management Organization Structure (review the As Is and define the target),
*Develop agreements and contracts for potential FM contractors (from the definition of the requirements to the finalization of the contract)
*Review current fleet of vehicles and define targets
*Review established policies/Procedures and train FM Staff
*Follow-up implementation of the organization (people, processes, contractors and systems)

Who we're looking for:

*An excellent degree with a leading university.
*Professional experience: at least 10 years + business experience of Facility Management gained within a Consultancy or blue chip organisation.
*Has broad experience of FM covering all aspects (Offices Services, Fleet, Support Services ) from operational activities and "optimization" project. Ideally in Industrial environment.
*Knowledge of KSA Supply Market would be ideal.
*Has demonstrated Project management skills and has demonstrated capacity to lead initiates
*Self-motivated with ability to work independently,
*Excellent interpersonal/communication skills, able to interact within all levels of the organization,
*Able to adapt himself to client organization/culture,
*Fluent in English (read/spoken and written). Arabic (spoken) would help.
*Taking into account location, candidate will ideally be Muslim.

It will need someone with a calm and professional disposition who can go back to basics and build a best in class department from what he inherits.

This role is to start from 01/01/2013. Role will be based in Makkah and will pay $8k per month plus housing and 2 flights home every year.
