Robert Half Management Resources is currently looking to engage with an Interim Equalityand has now engaged in an expansion and transformation programme to ensure it can meet the requirements of its expanded remit.

The programme is committed to ensuring that the core values are reflected in the expansion and transformation of the organisation; one of these core values is a commitment to equality and diversity.

The Equality and Diversity specialist will work across all aspects of the programme to ensure that they are designing and implementing changes in line with best practice, and that all opportunities to meet Equality and Diversity goals are exploited.

Activities will include:

- Supporting work to establish national diversity targets and implementation plans to achieve these.
- Reviewing recruitment practices and work place characteristics; recommending how they can optimise their recruitment and retention of high calibre staff from a diverse range of communities.
- Involvement in the development of a blueprint, ensuring that this reflects best practice in terms of meeting the needs of a diverse workforce.
- Conducting Equality Impact Assessments on any proposed changes, to ensure they are aligned with a commitment to diversity.

YOUR PROFILE

- A minimum of 7 years' experience working as an Equality & Diversity Specialist.
- Solid understanding of legal framework and best practice in relation to equality and diversity issues in the workplace.
- Extensive experience of implementing best practice Equality & Diversity strategies within the Public Sector.
- Demonstrable experience of bench marking best practice.
- A deep understanding of Equality & Diversity research and current requirements within this area.
- Extensive experience advising on diversity issues across a range of areas including recruitment, retention and organisational design.
- Good communication skills: able to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing.
- A minimum of BC clearance is required- person must have or be willing to undergo security clearance.

SALARY & BENEFITS

Interim Equality & Diversity Specialist, Central Government body based in London, initial 3 month contract, £400 - £450 per day DOE (via Ltd company).
