Interim Emerging Talent Partner

As part of ongoing expansion and investment to the Graduate Centre of Excellent, Thales are looking to recruit a Interim Emerging Talent Partner in Basingstoke for a FTC.

The role

The role will focus of delivery of a first service which will include resourcing new talent and the recruitment of individuals through selectionyou will also provide continuous development support to graduates throughout the Graduate Development Programme working closely with key stakeholders within Thales.

You will work in a creative and dedicated resourcing and development team who form a part of the overall strategy to grow and develop new talent for our prestigious and successful organisation; this role could offer significant future career progression opportunities both in the UK and globally.

Key Accountabilities for the Interim Emerging Talent Partner:

Recruitment

Support to Campus Manager (CM) in delivering the On Campus strategy
Attending Careers Fairs and on campus events
Selection & Assessment
Support/deliver Assessor training to Hiring Managers
Application form screening
Management of Assessment Centres (ACs), including logistics and Final Stage Interview Days
Assessing at Assessment Centres
Offer Process
Extend offers to successful candidates
Provide feedback to candidates within an established time frame
On boarding of new graduate/intern recruits
Intern Programme
Local co-ordination of Intern Programme activities

Development

Assessment of graduates on GDP training modules
Provide course evaluations to Line Managers and Mentors
Support graduates through to Professional Qualification
Ensure knowledge of Competency Frameworks is up to date
Have a basic understanding of the Engineering Institutions processes for professional registration
Ensure data of graduates within databases is correct
Ownership of or involvement in new initiatives and projects where necessary

Skills, experience & qualifications required:

Essential

Excellent attention to detail with a methodical approach and very good time management skills to manage high volumes of work in an organised manner
Capacity to establish professional credibility quickly
Willingness to work with numerous stakeholders and interested parties to gather information and opinions, generate buy-in and implement actions
Demonstrated client service focus and delivery, results oriented and driven
Strong presentation, and communication skills
High energy levels and the ability to be resilient under pressure
A strong team player with a high level of initiative and self-motivation.

Desirable

Analytical and strong reporting skills

Demonstrated ability of use of Microsoft packages to include - Excel, Word and PowerPoint
