Our client is an environmental charity with headquarters in London who are currently looking for an interim Director of Operations to join their senior management team for a 4-6 month period.

The successful candidate will help to deliver the organisation's strategic objectives, whilst managing and leading the Heads of HR, Finance, IS and Facilities.

The role will involve the following duties:

Ensuring delivery of day to day operations. This will involve reporting to the SMT and board and as well as providing company secretarial support in their governance.
Working with the Heads of Departments to implement the resources business plan
Working with the Head of Finance on the business plan for 2014/2015, including monitoring and reporting
Reviewing the Finance Sustainability Plan to ensure targets agreed are delivered

Person specification

Experienced in management and implementation of annual planning and strategy
Experienced in collaborative working with colleagues to enable implementation of strategy
Report writing and presentations for board members and SMT

Please note it is crucial for this role that applicants must have experience managing finance and other areas of operations within a charity.

This role would be between 4 and 6 months, 5 days a week. There may be some flexibility for a 4 day week if required.

Negotiable daily rate.
