Interim Director of Finance

THE CLIENT
Our client a leading NHS Mental Health and Community provider are looking to hire an Interim Director of Finance for a period of 6 months.

THE INTERIM ASSIGNMENT
The Director of Finance will be accountable for the development and implementation of robust financial frameworks, strategies, policies and plans which ensures financial sustainability and enables the delivery of effective high quality safe services. The role will also be expected to provide high level advice and guidance to the Trust Board, Chief Executive and Directors on the financial implications of policy decisions, strategic developments and plans. The role will have accountability for ensuring financial targets and statutory duties are met including compliance with Standing Orders and Standing Financial Instructions and advising the Chief Executive and the Trust Board on financial matters. The finance team is roughly 30 people while the organisation has 4500 staff and a turnover of roughly £220 million. The Director of Finance will also be responsible for the Procurement function and will be a key player in developing the organisation's capacity and capability to plan and execute a 5 year strategy to ensure the clinical, operational and financial sustainability of the services the Trust provide.

THE INTERIM MANAGER
Applicants must be a CCAB qualified Finance Director with demonstrable experience in the NHS.
