Interim Deputy Director of Finance

THE CLIENT
Our client a leading healthcare regulator are looking to appoint an Interim Deputy Director of Finance for a period of 6 months

THE INTERIM ASSIGNMENT
The interim will be tasked with repairing a disenfranchised and dysfunctional finance department, looking at the current organisation and leading a reengineering to make it fit for purpose. The department is plagued with long term issues such as a high proportion of retrospective purchase orders and an apparent lack of governance and financial controls. Attention will be given to improving processes and procedures while creating a strategic direction of travel for the department.

THE INTERIM MANAGER
Although not restricted to it successful applicants will have come from the public sector and will have turned around an underperforming finance functions in large complex organisations. Applicants will also be able to demonstrate how they have provided effective and evidence based robust challenges to the status quo while supporting a disenfranchised team. Applicants must be immediately available and will be able to interview at short notice
