Interim Consultant in Public Health/Head of Health Intelligence

My local authority client is currently looking for an interim Consultant in Public Health to lead their knowledge and intelligence function.

This position will be reporting to the Director of Public Health. The successful candidate either be a GMC or UKPH registered Consultant in Public Health.

The responsibilities of the position will include building and integrating the health intelligence function, while also promoting health intelligence across the council, and the wider region. This will be suitable for someone that has operated at a senior level, and will be comfortable engageing with senior council members. It will be very beneficial to have a good understanding of health intelligence, and experience of leading teams.

This Public Health department already has a strong health intelligence function, and are producing high quality work. However the Health Intelligence function is in need of Consultant level support and leadership.

The assignment is initially for 6 months, and we are happy to consider candidates on a 3-5 day per week basis. There will also be options for remote working.
