Interim Community Manager, Google+ Local - London - 6 month contract.

The Community Manager for Google+ Local will manage local communities to engage users on Google+ Local. They will be responsible for outreach, user education, social media strategy and execution, content creation, large event planning/logistics and execution, product development, data freshness, quality assurance, analysis and reporting and much more. They will also communicate user suggestions and provide ideas for product improvement, along with expanding our community member's base and generating community awareness.

You will be in charge of preparing and executing the local business plan, working independently while communicating frequently with your Regional Community Management Lead and other Google+ Local Community Team members. You will also liaise regularly with the Product Marketing Manager, Consumer Operations, Engineering and PR teams.

Significant community management experience is required as well as the ability to work with cross-functional and remotely-located teams while consistently delivering quality results at a very fast pace. The position requires long, flexible hours, with frequent evening and weekend work.

Successful candidates will likely be local experts with a strong personal and professional network and a finger on the pulse of the local scene; they will also be articulate, good writers, flexible, strong leaders, self-starters, patient and able to work exceedingly well under pressure, even while working independently.

Minimum Requirements:

- DEGREE, PREFERABLY IN A RELEVANT DISCIPLINE SUCH AS DIGITAL MARKETING, PR, MEDIA, COMMUNICATIONS, ETC.
- 4+ YEARS OF RELEVANT, PROFESSIONAL SOCIAL MEDIA AND/OR ONLINE COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE (ADVANCED WORKING KNOWLEDGE); STRONG GRASP OF SOCIAL MEDIA/DIGITAL MARKETING TOOLS, TRENDS AND STRATEGIES. (EXPERIENCE MANAGING A SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNT - TWITTER, FB, GOOGLE+)
- 3+ YEARS EXPERIENCE PLANNING, MANAGING AND EXECUTING EVENTS; SELF-MOTIVATION AND READINESS TO COORDINATE AND EXECUTE EVENTS INVOLVING SEVERAL DIFFERENT PARTIES. (CANDIDATES SHOULD AT LEAST KNOW HOW TO PREPARE AND PLAN AN EVENT FOR 50 PEOPLE FROM SCRATCH).
- CANDIDATES MUST HAVE LIVED IN THE LOCATION FOR A MINIMUM OF 4 YEARS AND BE CONSIDERED A LOCAL EXPERT/INFLUENCER.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

- 3+ YEARS EXPERIENCE IN DIGITAL MARKETING.
- OUTSTANDING PRESENTATION SKILLS.
- CREATIVE AND STRATEGIC SELF-STARTER.
- OUTSTANDING COMMUNICATOR; EXCELLENT WRITTEN AND ORAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS WITH PEERS, MANAGEMENT AND CROSS-FUNCTIONAL TEAMS.
- KNOWLEDGE OF THE LOCAL FOOD/DINING SCENE VERY WELL (BOTH CASUAL AND FINE DINING).
- PASSION FOR THE LOCAL SPACE/PRODUCTS AND A TRUE LOVE FOR THEIR CITY.
- DATA DRIVEN AND SOLID ANALYTICAL SKILLS
