Interim Commercial Director

I am urgently looking for an Interim Commercial Director to identify and develop opportunities to retain existing services and secure new business for the organisation, ensuring a commercial approach is adopted.

You will further develop a marketing strategy which promotes the organisation to major business stakeholders and direct customers. You must have extensive business development and marketing experience as the organisation is currently in the process of restructuring.

You will also be responsible for:
- Developing strategy, delivering performance and evaluating effectiveness,
- Providing advice to the Board and other Stakeholders on the key market and political factors which affect the business, - Developing a broad overarching business development strategy,
- Providing strong leadership to the marketing and business development functions,
- Developing and implementing a model to assess financially and operationally potential acquisitions,
- High quality tenders able to win new business,
- Developing an effective approach to B2B and B2C account management,
-Identifying and pursuing business development opportunities within target markets, facilitating tender presentations and contract negotiations,
-Further developing a marketing and communications strategy.

To be considered for this post you must have:
- Experience of working at a strategic level in an organisation committed to customer service excellence,
- Proven experience of managing competitive tenders in corporate and/or not for profit and/or public sector organisations,
- Demonstrable track record of strong negotiation, communication and influencing skills,
- Ability to lead the development of financial and pricing models,
- A track record of driving marketing campaigns with tangible commercial return is highly desirable,
- Public Services, Social Care, Learning Disabilities or 3rd Sector experience more on a provider rather than commissioning side is highly desirable.

You must hold current driving license and be comfortable with flexible and mobile working.
