Interim Application Development Analyst (IT) (JP15)

Our client is looking for you to provide application support for non-infrastructure applications.

This is a key role where you will be required to draw on your technical expertise! This is an exciting opportunity with a fast pace and plenty of variety to keep you on your toes!

You will have previous experience supporting non infrastructure applications as well as in-depth understanding of networking protocols. Your experience in migrating non-infrastructure based applications especially VM migrations is essential.

Being a confident individual you will be comfortable handling concurrent multiple work streams and can hit the ground running on a 6 month project which may be extended.

You will be working with the Project Team assisting in resolving and researching issues. The majority of your work will involve fixing and diagnosing application problems including issues surrounding networks and Servers.

General Experience and Skills:

-

Proven Application Support experience.
-

Systems Administration experience in Windows Server.
-

Project Management experience.
-

Development background.
-

Application/Development Lifecycle Management knowledge.

Infrastructure Experience/Skills:

-

Understanding of Web and/or multi-tiered Architectures
-

Understanding of Networking and Security eg TCP/IP LAN/WAN DNS/TCP/IP/NFS/SAMBA/Web Protocols/SSL/TLS/Certificates
-

Understanding of High Availability Solutions and Designs
-

Understanding of Storage eg NAS/SAN/RAID Configurations
-

Understanding of windows and Virtualization eg VMWare
-

Strong Microsoft SQL Server skills

Essential Skills:

-

Proven expertise in developing, implementing and managing software and hardware

Experience of planning, designing and implementing VM Migrations

Desirable Skills:

-

Excel VBA
-

Understanding of Business Objects, Resource Link, Epicor, Power plan & Kinetic

Knowledge of reconciliations and Intellimatch would be highly advantageous.

Strong analytical and investigation skills.
