Interim 'agile Project Manager' - West Yorkshire

My client now has an urgent requirement for an experienced 'Agile Project Manager', with a sound understanding of modern software development practices and ideally Scrum Certification, for a temporary/interim contract based in West Yorkshire.

Taking responsibility for the delivery of system enhancements, championing best practice, project planning/scheduling and quality assurance, you will have a proven track record of managing complex IT projects across multiple sites and an in depth knowledge of a major S/W technology, S/W engineering principles and S/W development methodologies (Waterfall, Iterative and Agile).

Playing an integral role in defining the software development road map, the ideal candidate will have full SDLC experience, a sound understanding of modern software development practices such as Test Driven Development and Continuous Integration, knowledge of software quality assurance techniques and software process improvement approaches, knowledge of Architectural and Design practices and patterns within an Enterprise software environment, a demonstrable background in leading successful Scrum teams to deliver, object-oriented programming techniques, process improvement approaches and knowledge of unit testing techniques.

Through Matrix/line management you will ensure scope is met and delivery schedules are maintained, manage project interdependencies, identify and mitigate risk and be responsible for project resource. Strong report writing/documentation and presentation skills are essential, as you will channel information throughout the business keeping stakeholders informed of potential impacts to the business and ensuring overall delivery to time and budget.

Ideal candidates will be Prince 2 certified (or similar), have knowledge of one or more Agile project management frameworks, excellent verbal and written communication skills and previous experience within the Financial Services industry.
