THE CLIENT
Our client is a London Borough looking to hire an interim manager for 4 to 6 months to lead on health and social care integration.

THE INTERIM ASSIGNMENT
Whilst the integration agenda is well underway in this location, the interim manager will be required to review the current programme to quickly ascertain how effective it is, analyse its business case and ensure it is aligned to both the savings targets for the next three years as well as increasing the uptake of personalised budgets amongst service users. There is a specific focus on learning disability and mental health services, although this is not to the exclusion of broad older people service pressures.

- Hands on end-to-end project and programme management life cycle experience and extensive experience managing complex change in an Adult Social Care environment.
- Experience of managing projects with a substantial HR, IT, estates dimension
- Experience of building trust and managing complex stakeholder relationships across multiple organisations
- Experience of developing and writing project documentation, including business cases and familiar with Green Book 5 case model
- Ability to use a range of project management tools and processes that are proportionate to the needs of the organisation
- Experience of developing savings plans and producing financial analysis
- Desirable - Experience of planning and implementing Care Act readiness projects/workstreams
- Desirable - Experience of managing integration projects with Health and Children's services
- Desirable - Business analyst skills including workflow analysis, process mapping, target operating model design
- Experience of managing public sector procurement projects (desirable)
- Experience of working with elected Members

THE INTERIM MANAGER
Candidates will have in depth experience of adult social care practice and operations as well as recent experience of service redesign in line with the Care Act and the health integration agenda. Candidates do not need to be social workers by background, but they will have spent at least the last few years completely Embedded in adult social care directorates in project/programme roles, ideally in the context of healthcare integration. We will only be in a position to accept applications from candidates who fully meet these criteria. It is also essential that candidates can evidence the ability to delve into the detail of operational practice as well as seeing the wider strategic picture.
