Interchange Analyst

A leading financial services institution are looking for an Interchange Analyst to provide control, analysis and management information for the interchange within the small team responsible for transaction economics.

The Interchange Analyst will also be tasked with providing regular and ad-hoc reporting to the business' leadership to understand key cost drivers as well as owning, maintaining and developing the cost calculation models and work within a cross functional team to identify and understand the impact of cost saving opportunities through interchange optimisation.

Key Responsibilities
- To ensure information library is documented and complete
- To liaise internally and externally to ensure complete documentation and information for decision making
- To manage individual investigations and ensure full traceability and documentation at completion.

The Interchange Analyst MUST HAVE the following:
- A solid understanding of the payments industry from a technical and commercial standpoint with emphasis on interchange.
- An understanding of scheme fees would be valuable, although not essential
- Proficient in SQL and advanced Excel for data analysis and modelling
- Experience of working with very large volumes of data
- Solid understanding of key business profitability drivers preferably within the card payments/merchant acquiring sector
- Ability to communicate complex financial and technical information in a confident clear and professional manner to senior management
