Interactive Web Designer

Our client is the Northwest's online retail superpower seeking a talented, customer-obsessed Interactive Designer to create innovative advertising experiences for global brands on their extensive media properties. The ideal candidate will combine the ability to create impactful user experiences and exceptional visual design execution.

Your primary focus will be to design and develop visually compelling and beautiful advertising creative for online media. You will work closely with product, sales and marketing teams to create and bring ideas to life to help drive new business. Prior experience in an agency or media environment creating advertisements for global brands is required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- ONLINE PORTFOLIO OR SAMPLES OF WORK DEMONSTRATING STRONG VISUAL DESIGN SKILLS AND ADVERTISING EXPERIENCE ACROSS A RANGE OF MEDIA INCLUDING ONLINE, MOBILE AND VIDEO REQUIRED FOR APPLICATION
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as Visual Designer, preferably with 2+ years in an agency environment
- Knowledge of marketing fundamentals and ability to implement them to create dynamic advertising solutions
- Demonstrated strong competency with Front End development and design, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and Flash
- Excellent working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite with a focus on rich media solutions such as jQuery animation libraries, CSS animation, Flash/Actionscript, and HTML 5 video
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work with highly technical teams and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

- Bachelor degree in design or equivalent professional experience required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience designing mobile web, and/or on-device mobile applications
- Proven, established experience working as a Rich Media Designer, preferably with a good proportion of this gained in an interactive agency environment

This contract position is expected to be 9 months in duration.
