Interactive Software Developer Job

INTERACTIVE SOFTWARE DEVELOPER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Belmont, CA.

The Big Picture:
- This position requires a strong understanding of the human-centered design process, a passion for concept generation, and the programming ability and technical savvy to bring novel ideas from conception to reality.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Implement graphical user interface concepts
- Create a future infotainment system concept for the client.
- Implement communication between various different applications
- Implementation of GUI concepts for infotainment systems and control schemes
- Software integration of novel hardware devices
- Application development for prototype infotainment systems
- Collaborate closely with designers and engineers from multiple disciplines
- Maintain and troubleshoot software on multiple prototype vehicles

What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Degree in Computer Science (or related field) and a minimum of one to three (1 - 3) years of experience
- Java application development
- Proficient in Front End programming (Silverlight, JavaFX)
- Software version control best practices (svn, git)
- Knowledge of networking
- Experience in user-centric software development
- Comfortable generating and implementing concepts (brainstorming, ideation, iteration)
- Comfortable in a multi-disciplinary environment
- Experience with native mobile application development (Android, iOS)
- Domestic travel for meeting partners, attending conferences, and participation in demonstration shows (2 weeks/year)
- International travel for meeting partners, attending conferences, and participation in demonstration shows (2 weeks/year)

Bonus Points! Otherwise Known As Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in RIA development (Flash/ActionScript, HTML5, JavaScript and Adobe Flex)
- Knowledge of web design and web technologies
- Previous experience in rapid prototype development
- Enthusiasm for all things car-related
