For a project at our banking client site in Lausanne, the French part of Switzerland, we're looking for an experienced

INTERACTIVE REPORTS DEVELOPER (2785)

As a visualization designer and developer, with an expertise in information design and visual storytelling, who possesses the ability to craft the visualization of data and insights in captivating ways.
The Senior Data Visualization needs to think as both an analyst and strategic storyteller, not only a creator of engaging visuals.
This role will not just create reports, but consult with the business to recommend and implement data visualization best practices while optimizing the user experience

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- DEVELOPING, DESIGNING AND SUPPORTING INTERACTIVE REPORTS
- Rapidly design, prototype and iterate on creative concepts to meet the user requirements
- Candidate will spend significant time working with a diverse array of clients to help build techniques, tools, models and systems to drive client's business
- Maintain a delivery-orientated approach to developing the reports and their supporting tools & data infrastructure
- Provide guidance and knowledge transfer to other team members
- Partners with our analytics, technology, design and user experience team to create both client and consumer facing data visualization employing combinations of data from multiple data sources
- Work with cross-functional teams consisting of domain and technical architects along with Testing/Support teams to deliver the end product
- Coordinating information exchange, understanding business problems, analysing data, and defining system and business process requirements
- Ensure successful project delivery with strict adherence to reporting and data practices and the production of all necessary documentation
- Open to learn other tools under Reporting & Data visualization practice team
- Working with business analyst team to ensure deliverables fulfil business requirements and quality levels

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

- + 5 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE DATA VISUALIZATION TOOLS SUCH AS DATAWATCH OR TABLEAU OR QLIKVIEW
- Nice to have: Microstrategy or Spotfire
- Client facing experience who can quickly adopt best practices to positively impact customer experience
- Willingness to learn, and to innovate in a rapidly changing market
- Good in writing medium to complex SQL queries on any database preferably Oracle/Sybase
- Good understanding of Oracle/Sybase & relational database development, optimization and tuning
- Working experience of designing intuitive, interactive, and effective reports, dashboards, and visualizations
- Data analysis, data profiling and documenting/population of a data sources
- Understand and interpret functional and non-functional specifications into design solutions
- Work closely with business analysts, users to define the report visualization
- Understand the system data flows from Front to Back
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic and proven fast learner who possess good problem solving skills
- Accuracy and timeliness of delivering solutions using coding standards and practices
- Process driven - can design scalable, repeatable processes to enable quick decision-making and action, know how to prioritize and juggle multiple things
- Proven results - experiences on the testing strategy, segmentation and predictive modelling
- Working experience in Onshore/Offshore model
- Experience in Java, JavaScript or any other GUI applications is an asset
- Agile Certified and working experience in Agile Projects is an advantage
- Experience with Hadoop or similar distributed data platforms a plus
