1 Integration Architect

The Integration Architect is responsible for the end-to-end integration of solutions within the entire IT landscape. Since this role usually spans the entire IT landscape, the integration architect works closely with the System Architecture team as well as the programme architecture team, however an integration architect will usually work at a more detailed and technical level. 1.1 Core Responsibilities

MAIN TASKS

1.

With extensive knowledge of the TIBCO products, support the Solution Architects to construct the integration flows and integration points used in the final solutions.

2.

Provide hands-on expertise related to the integration activities to various projects.

3.

Promote architecture principle to ensure Non Functional Requirement alignment in Operation

4.

Identify Business Services and promote reuse

COLLABORATIVE TASKS

1.

Collaborate with the Solution Architects to map the Conceptual/Logical Architecture to the Physical Deployment views (TIBCO Domains/Appspaces/Appnodes, )

2.

Collaborate with key stakeholders to establish the physical deployment topology in terms of fault tolerance, failover mechanism, message replication or other Middleware mechanisms. (BW, EMS ).

3.

Collaborate with the solution architects and the infrastructure team to establish the TIBCO/HPE platform sizing.

4.

Contribute to the technical aspect of the end-to-end monitoring and management of the TIBCO/HPE platform. 1.2 Main Interactions

The Integration Architect interacts with all actors of the ICoE :

With the Platform Architect to provide infrastructure requirements to match the Non Functional Requirements like Availability and Performance

With the Integration Tester to highlight specific technical risks to be tested

With the Release manager to package deliveries in operation and ensure a coherent functional set to be deployed

Outside of the ICoE, the Integration Architect interacts mainly with all Solution Architects to define the best integration patterns to be used between the target Services and the CIP.

The Integration Architect also interacts with the Operational and Support team as assignee of all CIP related Level 3 support requests. 1.3 Skill Sets

Experience with, standards that enable Service Oriented Architecture, and allow building/compiling a Reference Architecture, such as:

Web Services Description Language (WSDL)

WS-Policy

WS-Security

WS-Reliable messaging

Simple Object Access protocol (SOAP)

Representational State Transfer (REST)

Proven practice in Service Contract Definition

Proven experience with service management and monitoring

Proven experience with managing transactions and compensation

Proven experience with securing elementary and composite services

Experience in release management, DevOps and Continues Delivery

Agile Methodologies/SAFe framework

Experience with Integration platforms such as TIBCO Business Works and EMS.
