Integration Specialist - XML, .NET, Biztalk, Web Services

Contract till 30 June 2014 initially with possible extensions up to 2 years.

DUTIES:

- Contribute to the Architecture and Design of a new solution
- Facilitate the delivery of design documentation for the existing system gateway.
- Facilitate agreements with 3rd party organisations on interface designs.
- Contribute to the design of any adaptors required between the system gateway and 3rd party systems.
- Review integration requirements and design documentation to ensure alignment between documents and with any agreements with 3rd parties.
- Contribute to the Enterprise Architecture (in particular Integration Patterns).
- Contribute to the interface of the new system with other systems.
- Produce test XML messages suitable for the Vendor to carry out offsite testing.
- Assist and liaise closely with the Project Manager on relevant technical aspects in delivering the solution.
- Work closely with the Project Manager, the ICT project team and Vendors to ensure the required changes in both infrastructure and software are met during the implementation process.
- Monitor and report on technical integration risks and issues to the project.
- Work effectively in a small team environment;
- Provide knowledge/skills transfer to other team members;
- Record and maintain files/information in accordance with the organisation's requirements.

- Proven integration and interface specialist skills;
- Well developed analytical and conceptual skills;
- Demonstrated competency to design, develop and deliver interfaces;
- Self motivated, innovative and a strong commitment to achieve project objectives and timeframes; and
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Integration architecture and design experience;
- Previous direct experience in systems integration projects;
- Excellent problem identification and problem solving skills;
- Workshop facilitation skills;
- An excellent knowledge of the technologies involved (XML, .NET, BizTalk, Web Services);
- Ability to work in a team environment and with a variety of stakeholders; and
- Knowledge of common IT methodologies and frameworks, integration best practices, common patterns including database, web services and integration patterns.
- Formal information, communications and technology qualifications from a recognised tertiary institution or demonstrated skills and experience.
