Integration Developer - ETL, Oracle, PL-SQL

INTEGRATION DEVELOPER/CONTRACT/£ EXCELLENT £ /DUBLIN

THE ROLE

You will be working for a successful and well established The Integration Developer (ETL) will be responsible for design, development, testing, maintenance, and support of the enterprise Integrations using Oracle Business Intelligence tools and underlying technologies.

REQUIREMENTS

- To provide excellent service and quality solutions in the development, enhancement and maintenance of Integration Solutions
- Ensure a focus on information/data quality by adhering to enterprise data standards such as a common business vocabulary, naming conventions, data standards, transformation rules and related specifications

SIGNIFICANT EXPERTISE AND EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING IS REQUIRED:

- Experience in the design and implementation of ETL processes using Oracle ODI (preferred) or similar ETL tool (eg Informatica, Datastage, OWB etc)
- Strong foundation and understanding of Dimensional Modeling, including familiarity with best practice methodologies such as Inmon and Kimball is highly desirable
- Analysis and design of data Integration solutions
- Core principles around interfaces design
- Understanding of integration transports, FTP etc
- Advanced knowledge of PL/SQL

WORKING KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS IS ADVANTAGEOUS:

- Core integration principles, for example: guaranteed delivery
- Relational Database Design and Modeling
- Experience of data modelling within data model design tools, (Embarcadero preferred)
- Good knowledge of XML and related standards, including: XSD, WSDL, XSLT, XPath, SOAP, etc
- Experience across a range of integration protocols and transports, including: HTTP, Web Services, File & S/FTP, JMS, ODBC/JDBC, Change-data-capture and database replication
- Good understanding of Enterprise Architecture Concepts, including knowledge of enterprise architecture integration patterns, and related core concepts - eg: guaranteed delivery, idempotency, interface contracts, compatibility, re-use, loose coupling, transformation & routing, handshaking, etc
- A strong understanding of designing and building integration solutions at an enterprise level, considering: fault tolerance and recovery, security, transactionality, reconciliation, performance, service monitoring & management, etc...
- Good knowledge of Enterprise Data Model and Master Data management concepts
