Context of the mission
IS EB/HC Architecture is actively searching an Integration Architect who will work in the
'Architecture team', that is the link between the business team (delivers business requirements) and the IS 'Development teams (functional and technical analysis/expertise & programming).
To function effectively, the Integration Architect is required to conceptualize and think abstractly, work in and manage a technically complex and heterogeneous environment (MF, .Net, different packages), and effectively communicate with all levels of management..

Application landscape is more and more evolving towards a straight through processing, real time and integrated environment requiring systems to interface to each other.
Here are some examples of current initiatives having an impact on integration: Core systems
* Health Care Claims Package integration: interfaces needed with underwriting/contract
management systems, referential, financial and accounting systems, websites
* Add new products and processes in an existing underwriting application (with new interfaces to claims systems and websites
*
Data Warehouse (DWH)
* Design and build a new DWH system fed from different source systems (of different technologies).
Websites developments
* Extend existing website for B to B clients to be able to manage new products and new processes requiring integration with additional back-end systems.
* Build a new website for affiliates and insured people requiring integration with several back-ends systems of different technologies (underwriting, claims, referential ,
documents management).
Data exchange
* New legaeclarations to Sigedis to implement (context: creation of a database about all 2d pillar contracts in Belgium). Data for declarations are extracted from different sources.

* Help to create a map of current systems and their integrations.
* Propose a "to be" vision and a phased approach for implementation, in synergy
with projects of the roadmap.
* Share and validate with other architects.
* Communicate to the different stakeholders.
Business projects
* Help to define integration solutions that map the vision of the cartography.
* Collaborate tightly with project stakeholders and coach them when needed.
* Monitor the design and help to solve integration issues. Validate the deviations needed in the design.

2. Job Description
The department IS Employee Benefits and Health Care is continuously working on its applications to enhance them. Together with the usual recurrent effort (maintenance), there are a lot of projects to realize in the coming years.
We are actively searching an Integration Architect who will work in the 'Architecture team', that is the link between the business team (delivers business requirements) and the IS 'Development team (integration, functional and technical analysis & programming).
The main activities of the 'Architecture team' are:
* Solution & Application Architecture (Functional & Technical)
* Architecture Reference (Functional & Technical) documentation
* Functional (& Technical) Support and Coaching
* Application Design Monitoring
* High-Level System testing (preparation)
The Integration Architect deals on a daily basis with senior management, peers and junior staff, both internally and externally, with business and professional skills in Information Technology.
To function effectively, the Integration Architect is required to conceptualize and think abstractly, work and manage in a technically complex and heterogeneous environment, and effectively communicate with all levels of management.
3. Reporting
A periodic reporting is expected allowing to assess progress. Reporting should list the performed activities and their status.
4. Services to deliver
EB-HC integration cartography initiative
Cartography of all integrations between EB-HC systems and with external systems (AG internal or external). In this context:
* During the first month: propose an approach and a planning to set up the cartography.
* Validate this approach and planning with IS EB management.
* Main activities to integrate in this planning and to take in charge afterwards:
o Create a map of current integrations between systems.
o Propose a "to be" vision including improvements and documenting patterns.
o Set up a phased approach for implementation, in synergy with business projects
of the roadmap.
o Share and validate with other architects.
o Communicate to the different stakeholders.
Business projects.
In parallel with cartography initiative and in collaboration with Lead Architect of those projects:
* Help to define integration solutions that map the vision (cf defined cartography and patterns).
* Collaborate tightly with project stakeholders and coach them when needed.
* Monitor the design and help to solve integration issues. Validate the needed deviations identified during the design.
* Help the test manager to define the testing approach (taking into account integration
risks, tools).
