INSURANCE UNDERWRITER - 12 MONTH CONTRACT - YORK

My client has experienced incredible growth, and achieved consistent profits in recent years. They invest heavily to ensure they remain one step ahead with the services they provide to their customers.

They are seeking to recruit a temporary Insurance Underwriter, on a fixed term 12 month contract to join their large underwriting department in York. With this role, there comes an attractive package; basic salary up to £24,000, bonus to 20%, pension to 20%, discounted products and much more.

The role will see you working within the commercial and personal lines underwriting team, where you will be required to;
*Manage a case load of submissions, renewals and new business cases.
*Deal with any queries; providing a high class service and efficient resolution to underwriting and relating issues.
*Process new policies and amend any existing policies.
*Work alongside a network of agencies.

The position does require previous underwriting experience as you will be covering general insurance products, so a commercial or motor underwriting background would be desirable. However general underwriting experience in any field will be considered.

All candidates need to have gained a minimum of 5 GCSE's (C or above) including Math and English, have a customer focused attitude and be a team player.
