Instrumentation Technician I Job

INSTRUMENTATION TECHNICIAN/ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in MINNETONKA, MN.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Lays out and assembles parts, subassemblies or machines within the complete range of machines manufactured with the aid of diagrams, blueprints, schematic sketches, prototypes, Bill of Materials or detailed verbal instructions with minimal supervision.
- Lays out and assembles basic electrical circuits and assemblies.
- Performs basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
- Procures parts from the stockroom, detecting and correcting defects in the Bills of Materials, in conjunction with the Facilitators, Supervisor, Manufacturing Engineer and Planner.
- Reads and interprets electrical and mechanical blueprints, diagrams and schematics
- Reads shop orders and Bills of Materials
- Keeps accurate records of the time spent on jobs and explains any discrepancies/problems as necessary.
- Follow Safe Work Practices and all environmental, health and safety rules.
- Performs any additional duties as assigned by supervisor or facilitator.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- High School Diploma/GED.
- Technical training in the electrical field with panel building and electrical troubleshooting experience.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Technical training in the electrical field with panel building and electrical troubleshooting experience
- Understanding of Programmable Logic Control (PLC)
- The ideal candidate would have machine wiring experience
- The instrument wires can be as large as 10 to 12 gauges
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Understanding of Programmable Logic Control (PLC)
- Ability to learn, understand and aid in the implementation of all policies, practices and procedures
- Ability to demonstrate competency in the use of hand tools
