Instrumentation Technician (BP Cuff Technician)

FUNCTION:

In this role, the Blood Pressure (BP) Cuff Technician will assist a Client Account Managers to install BP Cuff connectors. Specifically, the technician will work in a team setting to remove the existing BP cuff connector and install Client's BP cuff connectors on all monitoring devices throughout a hospital to standardized the facility to one common BP Cuff connection and distribute BP cuffs to each care unit. This will mean visiting all areas of a hospital - from Emergency, to Surgical Services, to Critical Care areas. Basic hand tools will be utilized to replace connectors.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

- Hard work ethic, attention to detail, customer focused, positive attitude.
- Comfortable interacting with clinicians - techs, nurses and doctors
- Comfortable with basic power and hand tools
- Valid driver's license; ability to travel to job sites that will change each week (mileage reimbursed over 50 miles)
- Ability to travel, including overnights (per diem provided for overnights meals, hotels paid for by Client).
- Ability to work nights/early mornings as required.
- Ability to obtain proper vendor credentialing to include basic immunization shots eg flu, chicken pox, MMR, etc (immunizations to be reimbursed)
- Follow appropriate Client policies, procedures, hospital protocol and complete necessary documentation.

PREFERRED:

- Associates degree/Bachelor's degree or 4 years of military service or 5 years of manufacturing/engineering experience.
- Biomed Technician experience
- Own a smart phone receive phone calls and emails while on the job site
- Access to a computer to take ~5 hours of on board training

PLEASE READ THROUGH THIS INFORMATION!

Because the selected candidates will be working in area hospitals - you will need to work with them to obtain the following information/tests/credentialing.

- Candidates will need to provide Proof of vaccinations or be willing to get the following vaccinations- MMR, TB Skin Test, Varicella, Hep B, Flu Shot and TDap
- Criminal Screens must be completed (standard onboarding)
- Drug Screen urinalysis must be completed (standard onboarding)
- Candidate must be willing to completed (3) Necessary Online Training Courses- HIPPA, BBP and OSHA
- Supplier Insurance Certificate - This will need be provided by your company
- Tax ID- This will need to be provided by your company

All of this will need to be documented in a letter from your company and available to the worker and the Client account manager when the time comes to complete the Reptrax process (Contractor's 1st Day). On their first day of work, the worker and the Client account manager will work together to get the 3 online courses completed. Please make sure that the candidate has a cell phone, and is able to work a flexible work scheduled for the duration of his/her assignment!
