Instrument Technician - Short Contract

Search Energy is working with Our Key Client, a small to medium enterprise, to source an Instrument Technician for an immediate start on a 6 month contract. In this job, you will be working on site in Irvine on a Maintenance Contract.

Our client has specified that candidates ideally be from a Petrochemical / Paper mill / Power Station background and that you have completed COMPEX 01 - 04. Furthermore, you will have a safety passport / CSCS to gain entry on-site.  In return, our Client is offering a 6-month contract with a competitive rate of pay. You will work on a 46 hour week (4x 10-hours 6-hours Friday).

Duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

* Calibrations/Loop Checking
* Commissioning
* Process Control
* Setting up Control Valves
* Pneumatic Instrumentation & Control Systems
* Maintenance
* Installation
* Breakdowns
* Problem Solving

To be considered for this role, you must be able to work in the UK without restriction, therefore candidates outwith the EU that do not have a minimum of a Tier 1 Visa, coupled with demonstrable UK experience in a similar role, need not apply. In addition, you will have completed Full Apprenticeship and be time-served. You will also ideally have a minimum of 3-years direct experience with instrumentation work. Candidates with Measurement and Control experience will be considered highly desirable
