Instrument & Control Engineer

I have been tasked with recruiting an Instrument & Controls Engineer. The position is based in Aberdeen and is on staff basis. The salary will range from £49,000-£54,000 depending on experience. Below are some of the responsibilities involved in the role:

Liaise with onshore/offshore operations teams to ensure appropriate input is provided

Provide support to the technical authority requirements of the project to ensure all technical authority related matters are supported effectively and that the appointed discipline technical authority is involved as appropriate.

Provide input to project conceptual design and selection studies and FEED, ensuring operational needs are taken into account as appropriate.

Provide operations support to the Project Engineer/Manager

Attend as directed all related Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) providing operations input to same.

Develop related procedures operations/maintenance or otherwise for use into operations phase.

Provide discipline based input in support of operations to any systems such as Maintenance, or Verification.

Carry out regular offshore visits to ensure full understanding of any project related matters, communicating any project progress on relevant matters to key offshore stakeholders.

Project/Operations experience, ideally offshore.

Holds a degree in a relevant engineering discipline (or equivalent), as well as relevant engineering experience in the offshore Oil and Gas industry.
