Instructional Development Designer

Technical Training group seeks an experienced INSTRUCTIONAL SYSTEMS DESIGNER/DEVELOPER to lead the analysis, design, and development of learning solutions targeted to build key technical skills for an engineering audience. Candidate will need strong experience assessing current-state performance, then selecting and developing appropriate solutions. Position requires candidates with a demonstrated ability to deliver a broad set of learning solution types (classroom, blended, eLearning, experiential, action learning). In addition, candidate must have experience developing complex technical content to seasoned, professional learners in a high tech setting.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- Working with Sr. subject matter experts and program owners to assess needs, define content, design and recommend solutions, and develop final learning products
- Conducting and summarizing analysis
- Selecting and recommending solutions to stakeholders based on industry best practices
- Development of strategies for fostering and ensuring knowledge/skill transfer back on the job
- Development, delivery and implementation of learning solutions along with necessary support collateral/services (TTT, job aids, instructor guides)

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Instructional Design, Advanced
- Captivate, Intermediate
- Camtasia, Intermediate
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suites: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Strong critical thinking skills: problem identification, problem solving, strategic planning and implementation of action steps
- Nice to have: experience with Human Performance Improvement methods, tools, concepts, principles
