Instructional Designer

Role: INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER
Rate: £180 - £280 per day
Length: One Month (Likely Extension)

We have a new and urgent vacancy for an INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER to work for a learning online professional training provider in London. With fantastic offices, they combine proven experience of the category leader with the commercial understanding and connections of a progressive private equity group.

You will join an established growing business unit and have the benefits of being part of the global development with fantastic progression opportunities.

Duties include:

Working closely with SME's to design learning activities
Translating complex content into instructional text
Design programmes and courses - not just learning objects
Designing collaborative activates (eg flipped classrooms, peer reviews, etc.)

Skills Required:

Experience in an established E-learning/education provider or in an appropriate dedicated function (eg an E-learning team).
Deep understanding of a broad range instructional design methods sound learning theory and established practice.
Thorough working knowledge of Moodle (or other) for both course administration (eg course creation/management and user management) and for the delivery of online learning (with Moodle as the primary tool eg activity creation, structured collaborative learning, etc)
Use of a VLE (eg Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas and Dersire2Learn)
Familiarity with authoring tools such as Camtasia, Captivate or Articulate.
