Instructional Designer

Position Title: Instructional Designer

Duration: Contract- 6 months

Location: Mountain View, CA 94043

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Support the Product Navigator product training tool by enhancing integration with the Goro CMS training platform
- Work with the Navigator, Goro and People Development technical design teams to implement common content taxonomy and curation processes for Navigator Sales Training content.
- Develop associated content management and maintenance processes.
- Contribute to the development of enhanced UI functionality to support training via Product Navigator, including development of learning paths, social media integration, and Org Store integration.
- Develop functionality and processes to support enhanced tracking and certification functionality, taking advantage of Google Analytics and Goro reporting tools.
- Contribute to the development of best-practice multi-media and UI design and usability standards across the Product Navigator Platform.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design, Education, Computer Science, Graphic Design, Interaction Design or equivalent. Master's degree and/or equivalent experience is preferred.
- 2+ years of experience designing, developing and implementing interactive E-learning programs/courseware preferably in a corporate multinational setting or in a product, sales or manager training context.
- Proficiency in Front End web design - HTML, CSS, Javascript, JQuery, .PHP, XML, Django and/or other web-related technologies.
- Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite for multimedia development (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks etc.)
- Familiarity with content curation and archiving processes, database structures, Excel, SQL etc.
- Expertise in standard design and multimedia prototyping tools (eg Photoshop, Dreamweaver, InDesign, Illustrator, Fireworks, Balsamiq etc) as well as deep familiarity with design and usability best practices. Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite for multi-media development (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks etc.) and media development processes and standards.
