Instant Messaging IT Support Engineer (XMPP/Cisco XCP) Salary: AVP - Competitive Investment Banking Salary + Bonus Location:London A leading tier 1 global bank is looking to hire an Instant Messaging Support Engineer to support their internal chat infrastructure for instant messaging applications (XMPP focused). The team support tens of thousands of users globally, with members in multiple locations, this engineer will be tasked with insuring operational service continuity forLondon, problem and incident management, projects and technical roll outs and upgrades for the messaging services. This is an interesting opportunity for an IT Engineer/Application Support/Network Engineer/Messaging Engineer in an enterprise environment with strong troubleshooting and analytical skills to develop a skill set within instant messaging technologies. Ideal experience/skill set: * Any existing instant messaging knowledge, for example with XMPP, Jabber, Cisco XCP or Parlano MindAlign is highly desirable and would allow the engineer to quickly become a technical expert within the team. * Other desirable skills are: JBoss, JMS, Microsoft LYNC/OCS, Actiance Vantage and scripting/automation in PowerShell/SQL. * Application Support / IT Support experience in an enterprise environment (ITIL) is a must have. A keen interest in Instant Messaging is ideal as this person could become more and more involved in strategy/engineering within the group over time.
