Projektbeschreibung

Our client is looking for an Installation Design Authority to join their team based in Tewkesbury for an initial 12 month contract.

The ideal candidate will hold current SC Clearance

SPECIALIST SKILLS

- Experience of IDA role requirements (desirable up to Team Leader) on previous IT Infrastructure implementations
- Experience of dealing with difficult/complex client/sub-contractor relationships/engagements
- Experience of working in multi-disciplined teams
- Experience of delivering work and projects within tight deadlines
- Experience of face paced migrations
- Delivering Presentations
- Educated to Degree level or have relevant commercial experience
- Fluent written documentation and verbal English skills, along with excellent communication and reporting skills
- The ability to travel within the UK and overseas and must be flexible in their working hours and location
- Ability work independently and to be able to communicate with end customers

FUNCTIONAL TASKS

In delivering the role, IDA is expected to carry out the following:

- SURVEY, DESIGN & AS FITTED PACK PRODUCTION

Production of the site Design Pack for the installation and final decommission activities

SITE SURVEY - SURVEY MINUTES

- RACK LAYOUT - Identifying all items installed within the relevant Rack/Racks at the time of refresh
- CIC/PATCH LIST - Identifying only the re-fresh items connectivity requirements which have been installed within the cabinet at the time the identified change.
- DANDAF - Core Network Assets for decommissioning document identifying all equipment to be decommissioned
- SANDAF - Network Server Assets for decommissioning document identifying all equipment to be decommissioned
- RAP - Life cycle for the NSofIT from Survey/Design through to AF Pack Acceptance by the IDA

ADMINISTRATION

Administer and manage the implementation and change process for all site delivery activity within his/her area of responsibility (though not always required) to including:

- Tracking and progress of site activity
- Delivery of ECR1 to ECR5 as appropriate
- Delivery of the Site Security Checklist.
- Delivery of a Statement of Needs (SON)

CONSULTATION

Attend the site survey and provide design consultation (though not always required) on the following:

- Design compliance & options
- Security compliance
- Standards compliance
- Non-standard solution opportunities
- Value for Money review
- Health and Safety compliance
- Electrical and environmental requirements for delivery in the SON

ASSURANCE

- Technical assessment of the design architecture to ensure that it is functionally correct.
- Review of all diagrams to ensure the network layout is complete and consistent with the design decisions made at survey.
- Fibre-optic cable test results

INSPECTIONS

Carry out on-site inspections of the network installation at the following stages:

BUS (Beneficial User Statement)

- Inspect the Network equipment cabinets to ensure electrical and environmental safety
- SITE CLOSURE

Carry out a full inspection of all network components to ensure that installed infrastructure is compliant with:

- Legislative requirements
- Customer site closure policy
